Lake Champetra Kitchen
Our house on a small lake between Columbia and Jefferson City was constructed in the mid ‘80s and had been renovated a number of times. The house was badly in need of an update and a reconfiguration of the main floor. We entertain family and friends all summer long and needed smart, easy solutions for heavy traffic flow. The main floor was bisected by a large stone wall that obstructed views and light from every angle. We removed eight feet of the wall, making virtually the whole first floor an open plan. Now the trees and the water are visible from everywhere, and guests can visit and eat in every part of the space and still feel connected to each other.
