At KBRD we have been deemed as “experts” in CAPS designing and building. Lately, presenting has become one of the norms for us. We wanted to share our presentation with you. Please contact us if you have any questions about CAPS. We’d love to be your “expert” too.
Our problem solving strategy aided Tom and Mary Dresser to transform and remodel their home as a family decision to assist Mary’s father Russell to live safely and independently. We wanted the addition to provide flexible functionality without taking away from the house. This addition helped fulfill Russell’s independence and comfort by not having to enter the nursing home.
“Kerry Bramon and his team truly listened to our ideas and bridged the gap between the concept and construction. They are highly skilled and very trustworthy. They conveniently modified the space for an older person to live independently and safely.”

Ed and Isabelle Hassinger have a desire to age in their home for several more years. Through a professional contact, we were recommended to remodel parts of their home so they would be able to live there longer without restrictions. Angela, our Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist, facilitated changes that will allow the Hassinger’s to remain independent for years to come.
“We depended on Kerry Bramon and Angela. They helped us decide what to do and the process was seamless. The people who did the work were in and out, leaving no mess, no bother, nothing but a clean finished product. It’s so nice to have a bathroom that we can use and to take a shower without help.”

To age-in-place you will probably need to modify your house as you mature to increase accessibility and maneuverability. These modifications range from the installation of the bath and shower grab bars(A), adjustment of countertop heights(B) and roll in showers(C) to the creation of multifunctional first floor master suites and the installation of private elevators.

If you’re the majority of Americans over the age of 45, you want to continue living in a familiar environment throughout your maturing years. According to the AARP, older homeowners overwhelmingly prefer to age-in-place, which means living in your home safely, independently and comfortably, regardless of age or ability level.
